LETTUCE; COS; Little Leprechaun

Lactuca sativa var. longifolia

A small to medium size cos lettuce with crisp red leaves. Can be sown in the open throughout the growing season. Can also be sown or planted in autumn and winter under fleece or cloches.

Sowing instructions


Sow from February until March in a greenhouse or coldframe, outside from March. Sow seeds in seed trays or modules, cover with 5 mm of compost and place in light at a temperature of 18°C.

Growing instructions

Transplant into pots or modules and plant these later at a distance of 25x25cm. Lettuce requires a fertile, moist soil.
