LETTUCE; COS; Little Gem

Lactuca sativa var. longifolia

A small, fast maturing lettuce with crisp leaves. Can be grown outdoors throughout the growing season. Can also be grown in early autumn and winter under cloches.

Sowing instructions

Sow from February until March in a greenhouse or cold-frame, outside from March. Sow seeds in seed trays or modules, cover with not more than 1 mm of compost and place in light at a temperature of 18°C.

Growing instructions

Transplant into pots or modules and plant these later at a distance of 25x25cm. Lettuce requires a fertile, moist soil.
