Lactuca sativa var. capitata

A very early lettuce suitable for cultivation in a cold-frame or greenhouse. A well proven old variety with light green leaves with a pink tinge on the inner leaves.

Sowing instructions

This variety can be sown and planted before winter or from January until March. Sow seeds in seed trays and place in light at a temperature of 18°c.


Growing instructions

Transplant seedling into modules or pots and plant into cold frame greenhouse or outdoors a few weeks later. Lettuce requires a fertile moist soil. Planting distance 30 x 30 cm.
