Beta vulgaris

Jannis is a round to oval beetroot with a crown which is set back delicately. Because of its attractive shape, smooth skin, fine foliage and the fast development, it is specially suited for selling fresh in bunches as well for Baby Leaf production. Good keeping qualities. Mild in flavour, good for use in salad

Sowing instructions


Sow from April until mid July in rows 30cm apart, sow seeds 30mm deep and 50mm apart.


Growing instructions


Thin the plants later to 7-10cm. Harvest can start during summer. For storage harvest in autumn before the first frost. Twist the leaves off and store the roots in a frost free place covered with sand
